welcome - Hunter Christian School Year 8
"The guides we had over the last 2 days were absolutely brilliant. They were really patient and friendly with the kids. The kids kept saying on the way home how much they learned and what a great trip it was." Bronwyn L., Nov 2016
The following information is supplied on this school-specific page to make your preparation for this year’s camp as simple as possible.
We're providing you with all of the information you'll need to prepare for camp and in return we ask that you provide us with the details that we need to know about you or your child/ward. Please see the instructions below on how to complete this process.
Step 1 - Preferences Outline and Rationale
Read the Preferences Outline and Rationale to get an understanding of the program your school is undertaking. The Preferences Outline and Rationale is an outline of this year’s camp and what each group will be doing. Please note that this is a planning outline only. The actual Program Outline will be uploaded once groups are confirmed. Check for updates closer to the camp.
Step 2 - Medical and Consent Form
Complete the Consent and Medical Form online and submit prior to 10 February 2020. All fields marked with an asterisk must be completed. All information will be kept confidential and only shared with the school and BOE staff. If required, you can also download Medical and Consent Forms to complete by hand and return them to us: adventure@boac.com.au

Step 3 - What to Bring
Your camp specific Gear List is located here.
It is essential that you bring all of the items outlined on the Gear List. If you do not have an item and cannot borrow it, you may choose to hire or purchase from us (links are supplied on the Gear List).
Please note that if you do not bring an item that compromises your health and safety, BOE will supply it to you at either the hire or purchase cost. If suitable equipment is not available then arrangements will be made for the student to go home.
Step 5 - Arrival Advice
When you arrive at camp, you should be dressed in your canoeing clothes (swimmers, long sleeved shirt, long pants, sunhat, water shoes) with lunch, water, sunscreen and any personal medications in a small day bag.
NB: you will not have time to change when you arrive. You will not have time to access your overnight bag until you arrive at camp late in the afternoon.
Step 5 - Weather Report
Check out the 7 day weather forecast for your camp location.
Step 6 - Arrive at camp
Arrive at camp prepared with everything you need and a smile on your face.
